Yellow alert has been sounded in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod districts. These districts will receive 64.5 mm to 115.5 of rainfall in 24 hours.

Southern districts will also receive heavy rainfall. The low-pressure that formed in the Arabian Sea near Kavaratti is the reason for the heavy rains in southern Kerala. The low pressure will move in a north-westerly direction by tomorrow. With this, the rainfall in southern Kerala will decrease and will increase in the northern districts except Kasargod.
