THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Renowned violinist Prof M Subramania Sharma (84) passed away due to a cardiac arrest in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. His funeral will take place at 8 am on Tuesday at Puthankotta Brahmin Crematorium.

Sharma, who was one of the first violin professors at Swathi Thirnal Music College in Thiruvananthapuram, was an A grade artist of both Dooradharshan as well as Akashvani. He is survived by wife K Renuka, son violinist SR Mahadeva Sharma and daughter violinist SR Rajasri.
