KOCHI: The bail plea of Alan and Thaha who is serving remand under Pantheerankavu UAPA case will be taken up by NIA court on Wednesday. Both of them informed the court that they have been lodged in Jail for the last 10 months and the police had not produced any evidence so far indicating their Maoist links.

However, NIA says that there is evidence for their Maoist links. Alan and Thaha were arrested by police alleging Maoists links on November 2nd 2019. UAPA charges were imposed on them citing that they have functioned in a banned organisation and later NIA took up the case from Kerala police.
