MALAPPURAM: Muslim League leaders turned against Manjeshwaram MLA, M. C. Kamaruddin. A group within the party has demanded to take action against the MLA. As leaders started to pressurise party leadership supporting & opposing Kamaruddin, the meeting to be held on Thursday was postponed.

Meanwhile, the party has issued a clarification that the meeting was postponed due to inconveniences of certain leaders. A pressure group is functioning within the party for Kamaruddin. A group of party leaders from Kasargod has reached Malappuram demanding action on the Manjeshwaram MLA. When both groups stood on their stands, the party leadership had no choice other than postponing the meeting. These two groups also cashed when Kamaruddin was given the seat during 2016 assembly polls.
