KOCHI: The NIA court in Ernakulam has said that there is no prima facie evidence to prove that both Alan Shuhaib and Thaha Fasal were cadets of the prohibited Maoist organisation or had acted upon instructions from the organisation. The court also lashed out at the evidence produced by the investigating team before granting bail to the two students.

The court also pointed out that presence in anti-government protests or strong political beliefs does not make a person complicit in terrorist activity.
