THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Indications are that someone deliberately tried to exploit a dispute between those murdered and the gang of killers in the Venjaramoodu double murder case. The investigation team is trying to trace the person who had visited Thembamoodu Junction twice before the attack.

The investigating team is of the belief that there was an exact conspiracy behind the attack. An investigation how the weapons came into the hands of the killers and the victims, the investigation team came to the conclusion that someone was trying to exploit the resentment between the two.

It is hinted that someone stood on both sides and informed both the teams that they are going to be attacked. Knowing this, both the groups took weapons. The telephone records of all those who were on the scene at the time of the attack will be re-examined in detail.

So far nine people have been arrested including those who committed the crime and those who helped them to escape. The court has left Shajith, Najeeb, Ajith, Sathimon, Sajeev, Sanal and Preeja to police custody for interrogation. Sanal who developed chest pain is in the hospital. The custody of four will end today.
