THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan came forward responding in the suicide of CPM party woman activist in Parassala. He told Kerala Kaumudi Online that she did not commit suicide in the place where the party office is located. She died in the building bought years back for the party office. The place has not been using by anyone. It's a way that not even a bike can go straight. He said that he came to know about the incident this morning.
He said, “I don’t know why she took the drastic step. She was a Kudumbashree activist. Her relatives alleged that she committed suicide after being dejected by the party. I don’t know whether she had attended yesterday’s Kudumbashree committee or not. The party’s area committee was there yesterday. However, she was not an area committee member. As an activist of Kudumbashree, she was a loyalist of CPM.”
She has a membership in Kudumbashree. She was very active in all programmes of Kudumbashree. She has no membership in any of the party’s organisations, he said.
She was found hanging in the building bought for the party office. Asha was found hanging in a search by her relatives after found missing in the night. She took the drastic step due to dejection from the party committee. She leaves behind her children Arun Krishna and Srikanth.
