THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader Shafi Parambil MLA has asked to oust the tainted minister KT Jaleel. He also criticized that the chief minister is not ready to conduct an independent probe over the issue.

“First, oust the thief then find out the mainour. Evidence has come out, therefore the minister should be removed to conduct a thorough probe. In my opinion, the minister has committed a crime. Youth Congress has already registered its protest on the issue. But as it the time of Covid-19, there are limitations. We will launch protest and demonstrations on this issue. BJP’s stand and their protests over the issue is sceptical,” he said.

Followed by ED questioning Jaleel on gold smuggling case, protests have erupted from the opposition demanding the minister’s resignation. Whereas the central and state leadership of the party hold the view that Jaleel shouldn’t resign, just for ED questioning him.
