THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Over one lakh candidates from Kerala are expected to appear in medical entrance exam NEET on Sunday which will be conducted amid strict COVID-19 precautions. Adequate arrangements have also been made at all exam centres in the state.

All exam halls were disinfected by the fire force the other day. "While all the candidates have been asked to come to the exam centres with masks and sanitisers, once they enter the centre, they will have to use the masks provided by the examination authority. Each candidate will be offered a three-ply mask at the time of entry and are expected to wear the same during the examination in order to avoid any form of unfair means at the time of examination," a senior National Testing Agency (NTA) official said.

The state has arranged for more number of KSRTC services for the candidates. The Kochi Metro will also run special services for NEET candidates on Sunday to help them reach their examination centres. The service will begin at morning 8 am.
