NEW DELHI: Subash Vasu removed as the chairman of the Spices Board following the request of BDJS chief Thushar Vellappally. The order was issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
This is one of the three corporation/board positions received by BDJS from the Modi govt. Subash Vasu was appointed as the chairman in July 2018. It is learnt that some positions demanded by BDJS will be announced soon. Apart from the Spices Board chairman position, ITDC director board membership and the Rubber Board membership were given to BDJS.
Subash Vasu was removed from the position after the BJP state president K Surendran and other leaders recognized and supported Thushar's request.
Subash Vasu, the former union president of SNDP Yogam in Mavelikkara, was earlier ousted from the Yogam in connection with a microfinance fraud case. He was then removed from BDJS in the name of anti-organizational activities.
