THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a statement, minister EP Jayarajan said he will take legal action for spreading fake news against his wife and son. A media and some political rivals are doing vile attacks with fake and baseless allegations, he said.
"There is a major conspiracy behind the allegations. Some media representatives and political rivals are behind this. As a lawmaker, I am bound to state facts to people when allegations are repeatedly aimed at you. Will take legal actions for fake allegations against my wife and son", Jayarajan said.
"I was in quarantine after Thomas Isaac tested positive. My wife was not in quarantine. The news is getting spread that my wife violated quarantine rules and went to the bank in Kannur where she works. As it was our grandkid's birthday she went to fetch jewellery from bank locker. All transactions were made by following COVID protocol. It is not right for any media to do character assassination on any woman. My family was never involved in any controversies. They earn their living decently", he added.
The minister said that the BJP president's statement against his son at a press meet by quoting a piece of baseless news on a daily as ED report is ridiculous. Jayarajan added that he would take legal action against the newspaper and the BJP state president K Surendran.
