THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala turned into a battle field today with many protestors injured in clashes with police during a march to the secretariat seeking the resignation of Ministers K T Jaleel and E P Jayarajan. The police used water cannons at youth congress activists when they tried to topple the barricade in front of the Secretariat. The police used tear gas when they failed to disperse from there. The police arrested many including Shafi Parambil MLA and youth congress vice president Sabarinathan MLA from the spot. The police resorted to lathicharge at the strong protests staged by Yuva Morcha in front of the secretariat. An activist sustained injuries on his eye. The activists are protesting by squatting on the road in front of the secretariat.

Police used water cannons in the march staged to Minister E P Jayarahan’s house by a team led by BJP leader Sandeep Warrier. He was arrested following the clash.
