THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Muhammed Riyas, CPM leader and son-in-law of Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan responds on the allegation that CM’s daughter and his wife, Veena was gifted furniture as a wedding present by Swapna Suresh, the chief accused in the gold smuggling case. In his Facebook post, Riyas responds against the allegations raised by the opposition. He said that the allegations are baseless. He also asked the person who raised the allegation to publicise any evidence that he has on this regard.
His FB post is as follows:
For some quarters, the furniture in our flats have become a topic to raise allegation.
What can I say about that….It is baseless and absurd
I have seen the person who has raised the allegation face-to-face in the discussion organised by Mathrubhumi news. I have asked him to publicize the evidence and to transfer them to the probe agencies but he hasn’t even publicized those even during that discussion
I am again humbly requesting to that person to publicize those evidences. That person have the moral responsibility to do that. As he says if the furniture is bought, it should be from a shop and it must have a CCTV camera. It it didn’t have one people in that shop can recognise us. That is if the allegation is based on facts then it will have proper evidence. I was forced to write this as cerain impartial persons digested this allegation even without thinking about what the other side has to say
