THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala recorded 4167 cases of COVID-19 on Friday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among the new cases, 3849 persons developed the disease through contact including 410 cases without an identified source of infection. Also, 48 persons came from abroad and 165 from other states.102 health workers also tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
As many as 2744 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the past 24 hours.

The state also reported 12 COVID deaths on Friday taking the toll to 501.
There are 35,724 active cases in the state. In the past 24 hours, 47,723 samples were tested.
Currently, there are 614 hotspots with the addition of 18 regions and the removal of 12.
