KOCHI: A youth was found dead in the middle of the road near Vypeen beach. The dead identified as Praveen, a native of Cherayi, was found dead Tuesday early morning. He had serious injuries on his head and hands. The Munambam police registered a case and investigation has started.

It was the fishermen who found the body early morning at 4.30 am. They later informed the police. Some broken pieces of tube light and some branches of a tree were found lying near the body. There were bruises all over his body.

The incident happened last night and is suspected to be a murder. The police has intensified probe focusing on the CCTV footages. Police said they have obtained hints about the culprits.
