THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday confirmed that both Shuhaib and Gulnawaz, the terrorists arrested on Monday from Thiruvananthapuram airport, are prominent members of terror groups. While Shuhaib is a former operative of Indian Mujahideen, Gulnawaz is a fundraiser of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

According to NIA, Shuhaib, a native of Kannur, used to arrange finance for the terrorist organisation. He is also an accused in the Bengaluru blast case. He was also a member of the terror gang led by Kannur native and Indian Mujahideen leader Thadiyantavide Nazeer.
