NEW DELHI: Jose K Mani’s makes rapid moves in Parliament indicating his induction to the left camp. On Wednesday, Jose K Mani participated with left MPs protest, condemning the suspension of eight MPs who protested against the farm bill.
Jose K Mani holding the placard against the centre participated with Rajya Sabha MP Somaprasad, Elamaram Kareem, KK Ragesh, CPI member Binoy Vishwam and CPM’s Lok Sabha member A M Arif in the protest. Jose K Mani had often cleared his stand that he will continue to support UPA despite the rumours of him joining with LDF. But his latest move has jolted both UDF in Kerala and UPA in Delhi.
Even though Congress can take respite citing the combined opposition against centre, Jose has conveyed a clear message. Sources say that LDF will officially announce the induction of Jose K Mani to its fold by the end of September. CPM has told Jose K Mani to explain why the anti-left parties are leaving UDF during the induction ceremony. It is also to be seen whether Jose K Mani will resign from Rajya Sabha post which was given to him by UDF.
CPM will only forge a seat distribution formula which can also satisfy CPI. CPM has also promised to give ten or near to ten seats to Kerala Congress. CPM calculates that Jose K Mani’s presence would benefit LDF in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and other constituencies in the state’s high range areas.
