THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala recorded 6324 cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told the media here. This is the highest single-day spike in the state. Among the new cases, 5321 persons developed the disease through contact including 628 cases without an identified source of infection. 44 persons that returned from abroad and 226 persons that came from other states tested positive for the disease in the past 24 hours. 105 health workers also tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.
3168 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the past 24 hours. There are 45,919 active cases in the state.
