THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala recorded 7445 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. This is the highest single-day spike in the state. Among the new cases, 6404 persons developed the disease through contact including 561 cases without an identified source of infection. 62 persons that returned from abroad and 309 persons that came from other states tested positive for the disease in the past 24 hours. 97 health workers also tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.
3391 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the past 24 hours. There are 56,709 active cases in the state.
