THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The open university named after Sree Narayana Guru will have its temporary head office at Kureepuzha. The temporary head office, that will function at the three-storey building built for Sacred Heart CBSE school, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on October 2.

According to the Higher Education department, the three-storey building will be perfect to function as the temporary head office of the varsity. The building, spread over an area of 12000 square kilometres, has an 800-seater auditorium, two lifts and a large parking space. Minister Jaleel's office informed that the district Collector has permitted to rent the building for the purpose.

The Collector has been assigned the task to find an appropriate location for the permanent head office of the open university.
