THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Civil Service preliminary exam held by the UPSC on a national level will be conducted at 78 centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Kozhikode on October 4. There are 30,000 applications from Kerala. Students and exam staff including those from containment zones can enter the exam centres using admit and identity cards.

Mobile phones, digital and smartwatches, and Bluetooth devices won't be allowed inside exam halls. The police will be assigned to look after these checks. Entrance to exam halls will be allowed one hour prior to exam time. If a candidate is having fever, cough or sneezing, invigilators should be informed. Such candidates will be allowed special rooms to continue their exam.

Gates to exam centres will be closed 10 minutes before the exam. All exam candidates should wear masks and carry sanitizer with them.
