KOLLAM: KPCC working president, Kodikunnil Suresh has made a controversial remark that party men themselves are creating false news that Congress MPs are going to contest in the upcoming assembly polls.

“No Congress MP from Kerala has neither approached high command nor the state party leadership demanding seats in assembly polls,” he said.

“A group of partymen is behind such false news. They are trying to defame us. They are trying to create a bad name for us by spreading such false news among the people and other party workers. We are not some baskets that anybody can hit,” the MP added.

The state party leadership has not considered anybody nominated by me during the party reorganisation and I have filed a complaint against this to the high-command. He said he has informed the high command that SC and ST communities have not received their due share in the KPCC reorganisation. He also ruled out the rumours of him resigning from the KPCC working president post. “I will continue until high-command ask me to step down.” he said.
