THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has ruled out the allegations of Unitac MD that Swapna gave him an iphone as a gift for attending the UAE national day celebrations. He said the phone used by him was bought with his own money and he will resort to legal route to take action against Unitac MD for raising such baseless allegations against him.

Nobody has given me an iPhone. I haven’t even seen Santhosh Eepan. They might have given the iPhone to anybody else using my name. Cheap moves are forged against me by certain quarters. I don’t know if a conspiracy is involved behind Santhosh Eepan’s allegations. “Iphones were gifted as prizes to the contestants who won the lucky contest organised by the UAE consulate as part of their national day celebrations. CPM cyber gundas are constantly hunting me. I won’t bow before them and will continue my fight against them,” he said.

Unitac MD in the appeal filed before the Kerala high court has said that Swapna Suresh has bought iPhones to opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala. He said that as per Swapna’s direction, he bought five iPhones and one of them was gifted to Chennithala. He has also submitted the copies of bills before the HC.
