THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has said that the Life Mission didn’t happen out of the blue. The agreement was implemented under the supervision of the Chief Minister. “The Consultancy Raj is going on in this State. Backdoor appointments in the state are going on unabated. We had submitted two letters to the Chief Minister, urging him to inquire into backdoor appointments but the Chief Minister has not replied yet.”

“When scams are exposed, committees are set up to investigate them but nothing happens after that. The government which has been saying that action would be taken against those who say PSC appointments are delayed now says it will make 50,000 recruitments. In the run-up to the elections, there is an attempt to ‘screw’ party members into government posts. Illegal appointments are taking place everywhere, including KIIFB,” he said.

Chennithala said scams are taking place under the cover of Covid. It is not people who are not alert on Covid but the government. “Other than 6 pm press conference, nothing is happening. For the last four years government didn’t give job for anyone and the new announcement has shocked the people. “
