THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 8553 cases on Sunday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among the new cases, 7527 persons developed the disease through contact including 716 cases without an identified source of infection. As many as 30 had come from abroad and 181 from other states. 99 health workers tested positive for the virus today.

Meanwhile, 4851 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours.
