Subsequently, Prithviraj revealed that he and Murali Gopi is preparing for a sequel. This news created much hype and excitement among the moviegoers. However, seems like the excitement has hit the ceiling after a recent photo posted by screenwriter Murali Gopy. It's a click with Malayalam cinema's 'megastar' Mammootty which has sparked speculations. He captioned the photo "Three quality hours spent with the super thespian. And honoured with a click, by the legend himself".

Movie geeks were soon to spread rumours that Mammootty could play a part in 'Empuraan'. The rumours were given steam after Prithviraj himself commented under the photo on Instagram. We cannot blame the fans for hoping then, can we?
