THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan should apologise to the public for his insulting remarks against me in the iPhone controversy. The CPM who tried to crucify me in the name of the iPhone which I have not received, should respond. Kodiyeri is behind the iPhone controversy. Spreading fake news is to defame me in the society, he said.

Chennithala said, “Kodiyeri need not apologise to me for spreading untrue things but should apologise to the people of Kerala. I went for a function of the UAE Consulate as per their invitation. I had not accepted the iPhone. I will move forward with legal steps. I will wait till a reply is obtained on the legal notice given. Anyway will wait for 15 days and after that will move legally, he said.

The allegations levelled by the CPM are one by one turning to be false. COVID prevention activities in the state are not going smoothly and the number of patients is increasing day by day. COVID patients are causing a lot of hardships. Only inaugurations and award presentations are happening in Kerala, he criticised.

The state is ruled by a scientifically corrupt government. Inaugurations are held to cover major corruptions. The murder in Venjaramoodu is a clash between two teams. The culprits whoever are they should be arrested. The accused in the murder in Thrissur should be nabbed soon, he said.
