BENGALURU: The Bengaluru Enforcement Directorate is interrogating Bineesh Kodiyeri in the drug case. The interrogation started at 11 am at the ED office in Shanthi Nagar, Bengaluru. Bineesh who reached the office at 10.45 am was taken to assistant director Somashekara’s room. The questioning is progressing here.

The ED is mainly probing the source of the money Anoop Muhammed, accused in the Bengaluru drug case, obtained. The ED found that an amount of Rs 30 lakh came into his account in the past one year. This money came from 20 bank accounts. The ED is probing the source of it. The ED is examining whether the amount obtained from various bank accounts have been used for the sale of drugs.

The probe in the Bengaluru drug case reached Bineesh following the statements of Anoop Muhammed. Anoop had earlier mentioned that his friend Bineesh had helped him financially. Bineesh had also admitted that Anoop had borrowed money from him. In between this, the enforcement directorate started a probe on his financial dealings. The ED officials had reached Parappana Agrahara Jail last week and questioned Anoop in detail. Soon after this, Bineesh was summoned to Bengaluru for interrogation.
