THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government on Tuesday lifted the suspension of a doctor and 2 nurses in connection with the incident relating to the infestation of maggots in bedsores of a COVID patient. Following this, Dr Aruna, head nurses Leena Kunjan and Rajani KV were reinstated.

Despite the suspension getting lifted, the doctor and the nurses are likely to face department-level measures. Earlier, doctors and nurses had raised a widespread protest against the suspension of the health workers.
