BENGALURU: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday questioned CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's son Bineesh Kodiyeri for six hours in connection with the Bengaluru drug case. Bineesh, who reached the ED office at Shanti Nagar by 10.45 am, was let off by around 5 pm. As per sources, Bineesh might be summoned again as the interrogation was not complete. Meanwhile, a higher official of the ED stated that Bineesh cannot be given a clean chit based on Tuesday's interrogation.
The ED has found that more than Rs 70 lakhs were transferred to the account of Anoop Muhammed, the accused in the drug case. The investigation reached Bineesh after Anoop revealed that he had received financial assistance from Bineesh.
