THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cyber police has charged a case against Sreelekshmi Arackkal on the complaint of telecasting a video, which could make a wrongful impact on youth. P Nagaraj, an office-bearer of men’s rights association has filed the complaint to the police. The police which charged the case immediately after the complaint was received has also filed an FIR before the court. Nagaraj, in his plaint, has also included the links and other details of Sreelekshmi’s 25 youtube videos. However, the charges imposed on Sreelekshmi are bailable in nature.
Sreelekshmi was a member of the all-women gang which attacked the rogue Youtuber, Vijay P Nair, which triggered a row recently. The Youtuber and self-proclaimed psychologist Vijay P Nair was quite infamous for making derogatory and defamatory videos against women. The attack comes after no action was taken even after repeatedly complaining about Vijay P Nair to the police.
Following the attack, police started a probe over the incident and closed down Vijay P Nair’s youtube channel. A case was also taken against him on non-bailable sections. Police had also taken cases against the women who manhandled him.
Meanwhile, a probe is also launched to find out the educational qualifications of Vijay P Nair as apprehensions raised from many corners on the authenticity of his PhD and other educational qualifications.
