THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Crossing 10,000 single day cases for the first time, Kerala confirmed 10,606 cases on Wednesday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among the new cases, 9542 persons developed the disease through contact including 741 cases without an identified source of infection. As many as 55 had come from abroad and 164 from other states. 98 health workers tested positive for the virus today.
Meanwhile, 6161 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours. Currently, there are 92,161 active cases in the state.
The state recorded 22 COVID deaths on Wednesday with the toll rising to 906.
