THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mahila Morcha state secretary Smitha Menon on Thursday stated that she has approached the police seeking action against those who circulated the photos of her relative along with Union Minister V Muraleedharan. Speaking to a media, Smitha said that she has handed over a complaint to Kochi City Commissioner.

"The pictures that are being circulated now weren't hidden by anyone. In fact, those pictures were posted on social media. Now, some people with vested interests are using those pictures to harass my family and me," Smitha said.

Smitha also opened up about how she attended the international conference along with the minister. "I attended the conference as I was looking for an opportunity to report an international business conference. I attended the conference by spending money from my own pocket. Minister Muraleedharan gave me an opportunity to attend the conference after enquiring whether media persons are allowed in the conference. I haven't misused any facilities from the government and stayed with at my brother's place in Dubai," she added.
