THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One day, Pranav asked his younger brother Tejas, who was singing at home, "Can you sing ten songs non-stop?" When Tejas, a class two student, took up the challenge, the result was shocking. Thus Tejas entered the India Book of Records. Ten songs arranged in different tunes were memorized and sung one after the other. Ten songs in 33 minutes!
It was Dr A.S. Vinod, a lecturer at MG College, who told Pranav about the India Book of Records. Realizing that he would not be able to achieve it on his own, Pranav decided to achieve the feat through his brother. Medal and certificate were sent to Tejas's home by the officials. Had it not been for COVID, he could have attended a grand ceremony in Faridabad and received recognition.
Son of Kerala Kaumudi general manager (Finance) TP Sangeeth and Dhanya, Tejas has won several prizes at various music competitions. Several teachers, including class teacher Saramma, told Dhanya to teach her son to sing. It was Dhanya who encouraged Tejas to perform well in front of the camera. Tejas sang 10 songs including hit numbers such as Poomuthole, Kaamini Roopini and Njanoru Malayali.
Later, the video was sent to the India Book of Records by Pranav.
