THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 9250 COVID-19 cases on Friday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among the new cases, 8215 persons developed the disease through contact including 757 cases without an identified source of infection. As many as 24 had come from abroad and 143 from other states. 111 health workers tested positive for the virus today.
Meanwhile, 8048 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours. Currently, there are 91,756 active cases in the state. So far, 1,75,304 persons recovered from the viral disease.
The state recorded 25 COVID deaths on Wednesday with the toll rising to 955.
