THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The vigilance will inspect the strength of the Life Mission flat in Vadakkencherry. Reports said a letter will be given to the public works department related to it. The strength is reviewed as part of the probe. It is heard that the CBI will also examine the strength.

In the meanwhile, the vigilance have recovered the documents of commission transaction in the scheme. The documents were obtained when examined the bank accounts of Sandeep, Sarith and Santhosh Eapen. The confirmation of commission transaction was obtained when UNITAC director Santhosh Eapen was questioned. However, the details of Swapna’s bank account have not been obtained.

The vigilance will soon approach the NIA court in Kochi to question Swapna and Sandeep. The documents of transferring 7.5 crore to UNITAC’s account from UAE consulate’s bank account on the next day of signing the contract have been obtained. An amount of Rs 4.20 crore was transferred to two bank accounts of Sandeep Nair from the account of UNITAC. The documents of withdrawing 3.60 crore from it were obtained. Swapna had informed that this amount was handed over to an employee of the consulate and an Egyptian Khalid as dollar and Indian currency, Santhosh Eapen had told the vigilance.

Rs 60 lakh given by UNITAC was shared by Sandeep, Sarith and Swapna. Meantime, Yadhu Surendran, a former employee of UNITAC told the vigilance that though Swapna and her team had promised to given Rs 6 lakh, the amount was not given. The vigilance confirmed that the Indian currency given to Khalid was changed to dollars with the help of a money exchange firm. Eapen said Swapna told him that it was given to the Consul General in Dubai.
