THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 9347 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among the new cases, 8216 persons developed the disease through contact including 821 cases without an identified source of infection. As many as 46 had come from abroad and 155 from other states. 105 health workers tested positive for the virus today.

Meanwhile, 8924 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours. Currently, there are 96,316 active cases in the state. So far, 1,91,798 persons recovered from the viral disease.

The state recorded 25 COVID deaths on Sunday with the toll rising to 1003.
