THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Medical Association has warned that the number of COVID patients in Kerala will cross 20,000 by the end of this month. The IMA also said that COVID is spreading in the state at an extreme rate. Stating that the prohibitory orders announced by the state government were not effective, it urged the government to declare a health emergency as soon as possible.

On Saturday, the daily COVID tally reported by the state went past the 11000-mark. Today, the state reported 9347 cases.
