Actor Poojappura Radhakrishnan said Mohanlal is one who dared to swim in the private pool of police inspector Minnal Paramasivan, an iconic and a strict cop of yesteryear. He shared this incident in an interview given to an online channel recollecting his memories with Mohanlal. People used to shiver hearing the name of Minnal Paramasivan at that time. The cop had a private pond in his house for agricultural purposes. Mohanlal and his friends used to come here to swim in it.

‘This happened when Mohanlal was acting in Manjil Virinja Pookkal. Paramasivan Nair popular as Minnal (lightning) was staying near the Poojappura Saraswathy Mandapam in the capital city. People used to shiver hearing the name of Minnal Paramasivan. Anyone engaged in any kind of mischief will be dealt by him. He used to hit them at a lightning speed. He would disguise himself and take people away. Minnal used to pump water from a pond near his house to his own for cultivation. He used to cultivate cinnamon and nutmeg. Mohanlal used to come here to swim. Minnal’s son Ashok used to join Mohanlal then.
