THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 5930 COVID-19 cases on Monday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among the new cases, 4767 persons developed the disease through contact including 195 cases without an identified source of infection. As many as 48 had come from abroad and 86 from other states. 195 health workers tested positive for the virus today.
Meanwhile, 7836 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours. Currently, there are 94,388 active cases in the state. So far, 1,99,634 persons recovered from the viral disease.
The state recorded 22 COVID deaths on Monday with the toll rising to 1025.
