THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said he could not say when gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh came into contact with former principal secretary M Sivasankar.
“Swapna came to me after being introduced as Secretary to the UAE Consulate General. Whenever the Consulate General came to see me, Swapna was with him,” the chief minister said.
“When they asked who they should contact, naturally I would say to contact Sivasankar, the then principal secretary. There is no surprise element in that.
The chief minister was on Tuesday responding to question regarding Swapna’s statement that it was the chief minister who introduced her to Sivasankar.
