THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State BJP president K Surendran has alleged that Jose K Mani joined left front in order to prevent blackmailing by LDF leadership using various graft cases against him. He said that CPM blackmailed Kerala Congress not only by using the bar bribery case but by also using a case against a factory and another case against a marketing federation.

“Five years ago, Pinarayi Vijayan conducted protests against Mani, saying that he is so corrupt that there are several note counting machines at his home. I don’t know if Jose K Mani was inducted to LDF now so that Pinarayi Vijayan can borrow note counting machines from him,” he said.

The BJP leader said now the only thing that the people wants to know is that when CPM is going to induct Muslim League to LDF, after blackmailing them with the cases against them.

“With the exit of the Kerala Congress, UDF has become weak in central Kerala and in central Travancore as well. In this situation, these regions will witness a strong competition between LDF and BJP in the upcoming assembly polls,” Surendran said.
