KOTTAYAM: PC Georg MLA has told Kerala Kaumudi that just because Jose K Mani has come to the LDF, it doesn’t mean that there would be some phenomenal change in the LDF as expected by the CPM.

“When the chief minister has welcomed Jose K Mani’s entry calling it a never-before righteous step, UDF leaders said it was an act of betrayal. Both are talking nonsense. The UDF could have prevented Jose K Mani’s exit if they needed. The statements of leaders of both parties are silly,” he said.

PC George said that “Jose K Mani has loyalists and this cannot be denied”. When Mani group split, most of the workers stood with out of the sentiments they had for his father K M Mani. Only a few leaders went to the Joseph camp. But, Jose has committed blunder by joining the same Front which had called his father Kozha Mani (Birbery Mani).

“A major chunk of leaders who are now with Jose K Mani has the mind-set of UDF and they may soon return to the UDF. Even Jose K Mani may come back to the UDF. In the case of Pala, Kanjirapally and Poonjar, Janapaksham party will decide who should win as it has a big influence over the voters there. We are ready to move to the UDF. A big section of people have made request for that but it is the UDF leadership which has to take decision on it. However, that doesn’t mean I am willing to fall at somebody’s feet,” he said.

Meanwhile, PC George said a section in his party was willing to go to the NDA and therefore a decision in this regard will be made soon.
