KANNUR: A television set blasted while children were watching in a house here in Payyannur. The house also reportedly burned down following this. The residence of Pulukkool Narayanan of Payyannur's Ramanthali was at the receiving end of this accident. The television exploded with a loud noise at around noon.

As per sources, no one was injured in the accident. The children ran out of the house when smoke came out of the TV which saved them. As soon as they reached outside the house the TV exploded with a loud noise. The local residents and fire force dozed off the fire after cutting the power supply.
