PALAKKAD: Three persons were killed and two others injured when two bikes met with a head-on collision at Vandithavalam. The dead have been identified as Reghunathan (34) of Pattancheri Cheringal House, Karthik (22), son of Alayar Kannappan of Vandithavalam and Ajith of Thrissur Porkkalam Moorkath House. The incident happened last night at 10 pm near the village office in Chulliperukkamedu.

Dinesh (32), son of Velayudhan of Vandithavalam Pattancheri and Dinesh (27), son of Venu of Thrissur Kunnamkulam are the two who sustained serious injuries. Police said three were travelling in a bike and another two in the other bike. Initial reports said over speed is the reason for the accident.
