Did you know that depending on the species of the chameleon, they can either lay eggs or carry the young ones inside their bodies and give birth to them when it is time? However, a video showing a chameleon giving birth to its baby has gone viral on the internet and netizens cannot get over it.

The viral video that we are talking about was shared by the Twitter handle Nature Is Scary with the simple caption, “Chameleon (sic).”

The 30-second video starts with a chameleon sitting on a branch of a tree. A few seconds later, she gives birth to its baby, which initially just looks like a ball. The round thing slowly lands on a leaf under the branch and the ball just transforms into a baby chameleon.

The little one then starts moving around and looking at things. We have never seen anything like this before.

The clip garnered 2.7 million views after it was shared. Netizens were also in shock that the chameleon did not lay eggs and instead gave birth like that.
