KOCHI: High court of Kerala has dismissed CBI’s plea in life mission scam. The court has junked CBI’s petition asking to remove the partial two months stay declared on Vadakancherry life mission case. CBI approached the high court seeking to resume the probe in life mission case and remove the partial stay on the probe. Court asked them about the counter affidavit, but the CBI’s counsel said as it was an inter-departmental issue, a counter affidavit has not been prepared and it would take some more time. Then the court asked why such undue haste was shown in asking the court to consider the revision plea.

Meanwhile, the state government said before the court that CBI is only interested in grabbing media attention and cheap publicity. CBI has faced the present set back due to not preparing the counter affidavit which is a technical formality. CBI can file a revised plea along with the counter-affidavit. The hearing of the case was held online.
