THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Congress leader P C Thomas has told Keralakaumudi flash that the party is dissatisfied to continue in NDA, despite facing all kinds of neglects. PC Thomas said that Jose K Mani was interested to join NDA and he added that the BJP central leadership is not fulfilling any assurances given to the party while being inducted to the NDA fold.
We haven’t decided to leave NDA, but under the circumstances, we may take such a decision. We cannot say when that will be taken. We had made certain pre-determined understanding onn various issues especially in sharing of the key posts in various boards and corporations. But nothing had happened so far, therefore I responded.
Leaders from Kerala has no essay on these issues. National leadership should take decisions. BJP leaders know that they haven’t implemented many things assured to us and they are concerned about it. I have never said about leaving NDA.
They are repeatedly asking me to solve issues.
We haven’t talked to anybody in official capacities but unofficial talks are going on. As we are friends we talk to each other every now and then.
Many workers in his party are not ready to join LDF along with Jose. This will cause great damage to Jose faction. They are never going to get anything from LDF. Those who are sanding with Jose are disappointed now. They say that it’s an unpredictable situation now.
There are certain issues in it. Now the immediate condern of Joseph and Mani is over the name od Kerala Congress(M). There are issues like disobedience to whip. If Joseph is not able to secure that name, under the present situation, Jose can use his influence in LDF to disqualify the legislators standing with him.
More Workers and leaders need to be attracted to NDA. I had even asked Jose K Mani to join NDA. He was also interested in that offer but at last, he changed his plans and joined with LDF. even if they are on LDF it is difficult to secure Idukki seat and Thomas Chazhikadan’s seat. They have some hope in Kanjirapally but more possibility is there for UDF candidate.
