KOZHIKODE: Officials of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) grilled Muslim League state general secretary K P A Majeed on the complaint of K M Shaji accepting a bribe of Rs 25 lakh for allotting plus two courses in Kannur Azhikode School in 2014. He was questioned for nearly five-and-a half hours at the unit office in Kozhikode. The questioning started at 2 pm and ended at 8 pm last night.

Before interrogating Majeed, Muslim League Kannur district secretary Abdul Kareem Cheleri was questioned in the morning. The ED is mainly probing that if Shaji had taken bribe then how it was spent. A notice has been issued asking Shaji to appear on November 10. A probe by the vigilance in this case is also progressing.
