THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a relief to Kerala, the state's COVID positivity rate remained low on Saturday despite an increase in the number of COVID tests. While 67,593 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, 8253 persons tested positive on Saturday. At present, the state's positivity rate is 12.1 percent.

On Friday, the test positivity rate was 13.13 percent. Among the new cases, 7084 persons contracted the disease through contact. Meanwhile, 6468 patients tested negative for the virus on Saturday.
